Senate staffer fired for having an affair with a colleague

A year ago, a powerful senate staffer was terminated for allegedly having an affair with the then-Senate Majority Leader. The staffer had not spoken about the employment discrimination that led to wrongful termination while the suit was pending in court. However, a federal judge waived the gag order for public reporting after the Senate members breached the order many times by speaking to the media.

Minnesota employer accused of disability discrimination

A vacuum manufacturer based in Waconia has been accused of allegedly terminating an employee whom it wrongfully thought to have a disability. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a lawsuit against Applied Vacuum Technology in U.S. Federal Court under disability discrimination.

Bartenders sue Hilton and female boss for sexual harassment

Bartenders at Hilton Minneapolis claimed their female supervisor made unwelcome sexual advances and demanded sexual favors for hotel customers. The supervisor allegedly retaliated against them when they refused.
